What a turnout! This weeks Grandparents Day was, Im told, one of the largest ever. What a blessing to see and listen to the Elder Generation as they watched with pride our youngsters work their way through the day. Thanks to all who made it possible and special thanks to Mrs. Rene Koromah as she worked from planning to the event itself. May Gods special blessing shine on all who contributed and visited. Special thanks as well to our marvelous CCA staff that make these special days a joy to present. ALL MONIES FOR THE DECEMBER 12TH SIGHT & SOUND FIELD TRIP MUST BE TURNED IN BY THURSDAY, OCTOBER 25TH! IS THIS THE YEAR CCA DEVELOPS A MENTORSHIP PROGRAM ??? Thus far, we have had only 3 responses that I am aware of. If you sent in a response for our Mentorship Breakfast (adults only, this time) on Saturday, October 27th, please check with your messenger to see whether the message (response slip) was delivered. Or, please call the office and ask Mrs. Murphy or Ms. Debbie to record your name and assure your place. Please sign up below if you have not already. Remember: A DREAM REMAINS A DREAM UNTIL WE WAKE UP AND GO TO WORK! PLEASE REMEMBER THAT OUR LUNCHES ARE PURCHASED IN ADVANCE! INCLEMENT WEATHERCOLONIAL CHRISTIAN ACADEMY INCLEMENT WEATHER CLOSING POLICYIn the case of inclement weather, CCA follows the BALTIMORE COUNTY Public Schools procedures. Please consult the local radio, television, and internet notices for the county school closings. If BCPS is closed for weather, CCA is closed. A delayed opening will cause CCA to open late as well--including Extended Care. A 2-hour delay, for example, means that Extended Care will not be available until 9:00 am, with the instructional day beginning at 10:30 am. If BCPS announces an early closing, CCA will adjust its schedule the same number of hours--with NO Extended Aftercare. Due to the volume of calls that would be necessary, CCA cannot call individual parents for closings. Again, please watch and listen to the local media outlets for the BALTIMORE COUNTY Public Schools procedure for the affected day(s). Thank you. |
