UNIFORM EXCHANGE

On next Thursday, October 11, CCA will host its annual Uniform Exchange. This is a fantastic opportunity to buy clean, quality, “pre-worn” uniforms. Normally, the items are all priced at one-half their original cost. But since we missed selling them on Back-To-School Night last week, we will sell all items for 1/3 the original cost! This savings means that a $28 girls’ jumper will sell for only $9.33! DON’T MISS THIS ONE-TIME OPPORTUNITY! FIRST COME,   FIRST SERVED!!

The event will be from 4:00 – 6:00 pm on Thursday, October 11, 2007.

IS THERE A VIDIOGRAPHER IN THE HOUSE??

CCA could make frequent use of a parent with good video equipment and with basic shooting and editing skill. We would gladly cover costs for materials and your labor would, of course, count toward your family’s volunteer hours. Please contact the principal if you are interested.

UPLIFTING THE MEN IN “MENTORING”

Several CCA parents have expressed an interest in a program of meetings and activities, led by CCA dads, to benefit our boys in single-parent families. Last year our idea pretty much remained an idea. We are in need of members of the CCA family of men willing to participate in activities that will bring together those men and CCA boys who either have no dad at home, or a rare circumstance such as a committed dad, but one who may be serving in the military, or away from home for an extended time for other reasons.  CCA WOULD LIKE TO INVITE THE CCA MEN AND THEIR SONS TO A MENTORING MEETING AT THE TABLE—i.e., the BREAKFAST table. Yes, we would like to have a breakfast meeting here at CCA to discuss the next steps needed to actualize a thriving mentorship program here at CCA. MEN: PLEASE RETURN THE SLIP BELOW TO LET ME KNOW IF SATURDAY, OCTOBER 27TH WOULD BE SUITABLE FOR OUR INITIAL MENTORING PLANNING BREAKFAST HERE AT THE CHURCH HALL. WE NEED 20-25 MEN COMMITTED TO THIS WORTHY CAUSE TO MAKE IT WORK!

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

Please scroll to the bottom of this page to view CCA's Inclement Weather policy.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

COLONIAL CHRISTIAN ACADEMY INCLEMENT WEATHER CLOSING POLICY
In the case of inclement weather, CCA follows the BALTIMORE COUNTY Public Schools procedures. Please consult the local radio, television, and internet notices for the county school closings. If BCPS is closed for weather, CCA is closed. A delayed opening will cause CCA to open late as well--including Extended Care. A 2-hour delay, for example, means that Extended Care will not be available until 9:00 am, with the instructional day beginning at 10:30 am. If BCPS announces an early closing, CCA will adjust its schedule the same number of hours--with NO Extended Aftercare. Due to the volume of calls that would be necessary, CCA cannot call individual parents for closings. Again, please watch and listen to the local media outlets for the BALTIMORE COUNTY Public Schools procedure for the affected day(s). Thank you.
