SPIRIT WEEK

CCA children, families and staff have had a blast with the outfits worn and seen in school during our annual Spirit Week, but the best is yet to come with tomorrow, Friday, being “70’s Day”! Today, Thursday, was “Red & White Day” and was to have also been our annual “FIELD DAY” (aka “Olympics Games Day”). However, the recent rainfalls have rendered our fields too wet and unsafe for the games. Therefore, “FIELD/OLYMPIC GAMES DAY” WILL BE NEXT THURSDAY, MAY 29 TH FOR GRADES Pre-K4 through 4 th. 5 th graders will not return from the annual Spruce Lake overnight outing until late afternoon Thursday, so Bro. Pompey, our Physical Education teacher, has agreed to do “something special” for the 5 th graders on Friday, May 30 th.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

COLONIAL CHRISTIAN ACADEMY INCLEMENT WEATHER CLOSING POLICY
In the case of inclement weather, CCA follows the BALTIMORE COUNTY Public Schools procedures. Please consult the local radio, television, and internet notices for the county school closings. If BCPS is closed for weather, CCA is closed. A delayed opening will cause CCA to open late as well--including Extended Care. A 2-hour delay, for example, means that Extended Care will not be available until 9:00 am, with the instructional day beginning at 10:30 am. If BCPS announces an early closing, CCA will adjust its schedule the same number of hours--with NO Extended Aftercare. Due to the volume of calls that would be necessary, CCA cannot call individual parents for closings. Again, please watch and listen to the local media outlets for the BALTIMORE COUNTY Public Schools procedure for the affected day(s). Thank you.
