CCA provides a challenging, rigorous education program,  that includes: Religion, Reading/Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, Health, Music, Art, Physical Education, Media Science, Spanish and Technology. CCA continually explores and reviews available texts for use in its classes. Our desire is to use the best available textbooks in each subject area which meet our criteria for presenting God’s truth. Our criteria does not limit us to using books only by Christian publishers, but rather to those books that best present the truth of God’s creation in an academically sound and morally appropriate manner. Therefore, our curriculum comes from a variety of publishers. Our belief is that any curriculum is only as good as the teacher who uses it and applies it correctly. It is the responsibility of the teacher, under the supervision of the administration, to be accountable for the integration and correlation of biblical truth and the evaluation of ideas and concepts with God’s Word on a daily basis in the classroom.

Student achievement will be measured annually through the Stanford Achievement Test and the Otis-Lennon School Ability Test.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

COLONIAL CHRISTIAN ACADEMY INCLEMENT WEATHER CLOSING POLICY
In the case of inclement weather, CCA follows the BALTIMORE COUNTY Public Schools procedures. Please consult the local radio, television, and internet notices for the county school closings. If BCPS is closed for weather, CCA is closed. A delayed opening will cause CCA to open late as well--including Extended Care. A 2-hour delay, for example, means that Extended Care will not be available until 9:00 am, with the instructional day beginning at 10:30 am. If BCPS announces an early closing, CCA will adjust its schedule the same number of hours--with NO Extended Aftercare. Due to the volume of calls that would be necessary, CCA cannot call individual parents for closings. Again, please watch and listen to the local media outlets for the BALTIMORE COUNTY Public Schools procedure for the affected day(s). Thank you.
