Steps to Admission We welcome applications from students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin for Kindergarten-5th Grade. Children entering Kindergarten must be 5 years of age, respectively, by September 1, 2010.It is preferred that our families have at least one parent/guardian who is a Christian. Each family and each student who desires admission is expected to exhibit a cooperative spirit. Parents and students should read the CCA Student & Family Handbook for a listing of the school’s expectations. This handbook is available on our website at: www.colonialca.org, or ask to check out a copy from the school office. We only admit students who support the mission of CCA. Negative attitudes about the Christian faith, practices, or principles preclude admission. A student’s application, test results, interviews, and references are used to determine a student’s suitability for admission. Step 1: Submit a completed application for enrollment, copies of required records, and non-refundable application fee of $75 per student applicant. Required records include letter from Pastor/Christian Character Reference, Copies of Cumulative School Records, Behavior Inventory, Copy of Birth Certificate, and Copy of Social Security Card. Step 2: Families will be contacted to schedule Entrance Exam date. Step 3: Visitation Day: We ask that your child attend a full day of class with us. This helps us to best determine behavioral and social compatibility as much as the Entrance Exam helps to determine academic compatibility.Step 4: A Family Interview will be scheduled with the principal or his designee. Only the parents need to attend this interview. Step 5: The School Board will meet to evaluate the application. Admissions decisions are determined by the Board’s evaluation of several factors: the completed application for enrollment, previous school records, entrance exam scores, interviews, and its assessment of the student’s ability to benefit from this educational environment. The Board’s decision is final. Colonial Christian Academy will notify you of the decision soon thereafter. In these matters (admission/placement/denial) the principal is empowered and authorized to act in place of the board. Step 6: Following notification of acceptance, please submit the non-refundable registration fee of $400 ($370 for 2nd child) within 10 days, along with the Handbook Acknowledge Form. Tuition is due according to the agreed upon FACTS, Inc Tuition Management contract. The tuition for school year 2010-2011 will be $6,350.00 for Kindergarten, $6,100.00 for grades 1-5 and $6,600 for 6th grade. We look forward to serving you and your child in the Name of Our Lord and Savior. |
