Our Mission

Colonial Christian Academy desires to be not just another school.  It desires to be a shining light in the community committed to teaching and living the Christian faith while producing an environment for students to develop academic and spiritual excellence.  CCA will facilitate each student’s growth through a structured, Christ-centered educational program designed to challenge and equip them with the spiritual, mental, physical, psychological, social and emotional tools necessary to live a life that is pleasing to God.

Our Vision

We envision a thriving, challenging, and vigorous program of academic study,

spiritual growth, and social development. Following our founding scripture (Proverbs 22:6), we desire to “train up” children in the way they should go”—toward a lifetime of learning. We envision kindergarten-ready pre-k youngsters, readers by mid-kindergarten, and writers moving to grade one. We envision a progression of CCA children climbing the ladder of learning slowing down only to help others to realize their full potential.

Our Philosophy

The philosophy of Colonial Christian Academy is based on a God-centered view that all truth is God’s truth, and that the Bible is the inspired Word of God.  Since God created, and sustains all things through His Son, Jesus Christ, the universe and all life are dynamically related to God and have the purpose of glorifying Him.  Because man has a sinful nature, he can only glorify God by choosing God’s free gift of salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ, thereby committing his life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

A quality education establishes and maintains a solid foundation that enables children to develop the skills needed to live a life that glorifies our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  This Christian foundation is seen as a means used by the Holy Spirit to bring the students into fellowship with God, to help them become strong and mighty in the spirit, to assist them in developing a Christian mind, to enable them to think God’s thoughts, to train them in Christ-like character qualities so that they can fulfill God’s total purpose for their lives.

This philosophy channels our energies to promote high academic standards while helping the students to achieve skills in creative and critical thinking using the best curriculum available, taught by highly qualified, born-again educators.

The authority for such an education comes from God’s command that children be taught to love God and place Him first in their lives and from the fact that parents are responsible for the total education and training of their child.  At the parents’ request, Colonial Christian Academy, along with the church, becomes a partner in giving this education.  We see our school as an extension of the local church, serving parents in fulfilling their responsibility of education the child.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

Please scroll to the bottom of this page to view CCA's Inclement Weather policy.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

COLONIAL CHRISTIAN ACADEMY INCLEMENT WEATHER CLOSING POLICY
In the case of inclement weather, CCA follows the BALTIMORE COUNTY Public Schools procedures. Please consult the local radio, television, and internet notices for the county school closings. If BCPS is closed for weather, CCA is closed. A delayed opening will cause CCA to open late as well--including Extended Care. A 2-hour delay, for example, means that Extended Care will not be available until 9:00 am, with the instructional day beginning at 10:30 am. If BCPS announces an early closing, CCA will adjust its schedule the same number of hours--with NO Extended Aftercare. Due to the volume of calls that would be necessary, CCA cannot call individual parents for closings. Again, please watch and listen to the local media outlets for the BALTIMORE COUNTY Public Schools procedure for the affected day(s). Thank you.
